Flapjack as my dear old Mum called it, and didn't she make it well. I am still trying to emulate her with this one. Simple full of oats, (so good for you) and great with an afternoon cuppa. Very quick very simple and ideal for the kids to cook, it will keep them at bay for a while longer !

Boredom Busters - Photography - Bridges Lakes Entrance
The Footbridge in Lakes Entrance is iconic, and a very necessary structure in order to gain access to the Main Beach. It was for years a wooden and steel structure made, I am told, from some of the old rail/tram lines in Melbourne.
Time came when a new bridge was well overdue, and so the current "Footbridge" was built. We all still call it a footbridge even though small trucks can now access to Main Beach from this modern replacement.

Munns's Munchies - Cafe-Choc Biscuits
This is for those who enjoy a bit of caffeine with their caffeine with an added kick of dark chocolate.
Oh yeah ! These are simple to make and you can vary to your own taste. I like them this way, a good strong hit of coffee, an occasional hit of dark choc chip, a crispy outside and just a little soft in the centre. You can vary the amount of coffee to your taste. Remember I love coffee!!

Anybody bored yet....some ideas and relaxation
It seems we will all be in limbo for a while yet with continued limitations on our movements etc. I too am bunkered down at home only daring to go outside the gate for those essentials for life. I have come up with an idea...and hope that it may help in these challenging times. Read on for details.

Munns's Munchies - Orange Cake..so simple!
We managed to get some oranges a week or so ago but found them to be a bit dry and lacking flavour (only to find that they were from USA), no Aussie ones in stock mores the pity. So having endured the first three the last one hung around. I found a use for it and made a rather good and very simple cake. Even the "Boss lady" liked it.

Munns' Munchies - Pumkin Soup with Garlic
This is a
tasty warming soup with a twist, which is easy to make and only using one pot.
My kind on cooking, less mess, and far less hassle from the boss when she gets
back in the kitchen!
You can add the
spices and herbs to taste dependant on
your own palate.
I have just given a guide in this example. I hope you enjoy this little
favourite of mine.

Give our local businesses a chance - Positive Thoughts.
Thinking Outside the square and just an idea:
Self Isolation Self distancing Minimal Contact etc etc. All good and its working BUT lets try and keep our local businesses going AND create some work.
Munns' Munchies - Savoury Slice
Just a snack, lunch, a nibble, or just comfort food
in-front of the TV , computer or whatever you are doing whilst we are practising social isolation. I found
a few sheets of puff pastry in the freezer, (they HAD to be used), and some
left overs in the fridge.

Munns' Munchies Ginger Biscuits - John's version!
Ginger biscuits are always a favourite.
I found a recipe which was so easy even I could make them and then modified it a bit as I like a little crunch on the edges and lots of ginger. For those who have asked and who are hungry try this.
