UNTIL 17 June  East Gippsland Art Gallery  2 Nicholson Street, Bairnsdale Open: 9.00am – 5.00pm Ph: 5153 1988  East Gallery -  Kangaroo Tales Showcasing contemporary Koorie art from East Gippsland featuring the work of three Gunaikurnai artists at different stages in their career. Leslie Ritchie, Alfie Hudson and Dr Aunty Eileen Harrison.                                                                                                                                                                                         
West Gallery - A sculpture Installation made from both contemporary and traditional materials and techniques, including kangaroo skins, basket grass, perspex, lighting, hot wire burning and upholstery. A collaborative work by East Gippsland artists Frances Harrison, Lennie Hayes, Catherine Larkins. Grass sculpture by expert weaver Elaine Terrick brings an ancient Aboriginal technique into a contemporary realm.
