Lake Entrance Esplanande - more historical images

The last set of old images of Lakes Entrance seemed very popular so I here are a few more. Still some work to do on them but I am sure you will be able to work out where they are and compare the view whilst taking your daily exercise!

The Esplanade must have had so much character back in the 20s and 30's, even later they still had charisma, something which we need to put back into the town.

The fishing fleet may not have changed that much in fact some of these boats are still around

Whiters Holiday park as they were in the fifties and sixties by the age of the car

Wharf hasn't changed much either anyone identify these boats and their owners. Must be some history there

I suspect this may be one of Peels boats on the jetty and a later photo may have been taken about the same time

Lakes Entrance was still Cunninghame in these days I would think

Original site of the War Memorials before being moved to North Arm site
The Avenue of Honour remains in part today and the memorial carvings stand as a reminder of past service to country

Not often we see that many sailing boats in the front lake, a pity.

I suspect at least one of these is (was) a Peel's boat.
Celebrating 100 years this year, Congratulations Peel Family.

So there you have a few more historical images of our town. If this isolation keeps up or the winter sets in I will find some more and keep posting for your entertainment
Enjoy
