Hot Rods in June – colour in the midst of winter

From time to time it is great to see the number of car clubs that visit this region. We have some of the best driving roads in the State and this is confirmed by regular rallies such as the “Alpine Rally” and the “Tarmac Rally” which have made Lakes Entrance their base.

It is not just these rally type events, but a large number of car clubs and societies come to this region and provide us not only with a welcome boost to business, and a great show of colour. For the petrol heads (like me), it provides an opportunity to see some interesting vehicles in all shapes and sizes, to hear the sounds and take some pictures.

From time to time I will feature a specific event or subject and post some pictures for your enjoyment and to provide a little promotion of this underrated group of enthusiasts who are regular visitors to our region.

This post, and possibly the most colourful, is just a selection of those taken at the "Lakester’s Country Cruise event on the June long weekend this year.
